ADOPTED 18 years old | Gelding | 15.1 HH
We received notification of a man who had too many animals on his property and was worried they would be seized so I went out to the location which was like a junkyard zoo; he was confined to a very small space with not even enough room to lay down and roll. The man wanted a thousand dollars for Bandito but he took the $800 I offered him and I waited a few hours for the brand inspector to show up so I could take him that day. His living conditions were horrible. He was a stallion and his halter hadn’t been taken off for at least 4 years and was starting to grow into his head. He still had a glimmer of hope in his eyes and let me take the halter off and put a bigger one on. He loaded easily onto the trailer as if he knew he was going to a better place. After a few months he was gelded and has turned into a big teddy bear.
Bandito is 18 years old, captured as a weanling on 11/22/04 from Black Rock Range East HMA Nevada. He was a yearling when he was adopted. He’s titled and ready for his forever home.
He is easy to catch, leads and loads great and stands wonderfully for the farrier. He’s been saddled and is currently being evaluated on his level of training. He’s about 15.1hh and up to date on vaccines and has a negative coggins.
In the winter he almost turns black and in the summer he’s a gorgeous bay.
